Piles or hemorrhoids are swollen blood vessels in the veins in the rectum and anus. When the veins are bulging out it disturbing and cause surrounding membranes to swell, pain, painful, itching and bleeding.

Hemorrhoids occur due to blood pressure in the rectum too high, causing the vein walls stretch or 'give' and bulging. Sometimes it can be broken, especially when straining when passing stools.

"But usually patients delayed treatment and only come to the doctor after they become serious problems," he said.

According to him, the common cause of hemorrhoids is not drinking enough water and eating less fiber.

Moreover, too often lift heavy things also cause individuals at high risk for experiencing hemorrhoids because of the pressure experienced in the anus when doing very high.
