Marines Prepare For Future War
Marine Team USA leads the robot enters into the forest. This machine Legged (LS3) walking on four legs, can carry 400 lbs future shaped like donkeys used for war.
That's actually all part of the Experimental Advanced warfighting, and if the Marine Corps thought the test went well, the invasion of the future may use the services of a robot horse to do some heavy lifting.
Whole experiment is a subset of multinational military exercises. Called RIMPAC. Training war led by the United States Navy and several participants from 22 countries, with 55 ships, 200 aircraft and 25,000 people. Includes three LS3 robot.
DARPA is creating the technology, and give to the military to determine how best when it is used.
Lieutenant Colonel Don Gordon, United States Marine Corps Marine talked about how using the LS3 in their warfighting experiments. LS3 used to bring food, water, and ammunition that can accommodate seven to nine marine squad.
What is unique about the LS3 can move in different terrain inaccessibility wheeled or tracked vehicles through only due to the density of trees and types of terrain.
